Privacy and practical information for the Lookito test launch. Updated September 21, 2026.
What stays private
Your email, password, closet photos, original try-on photo, saved outfits, weekly plans and token activity are tied to your account. Passwords are stored as salted hashes. Private photos require your signed-in session; they are not served as public files.
What you choose to share
Creating a share link makes a copy of your selected outfit card or AI try-on available to anyone with that link, together with the look title, description and your nickname. Posting to Explore makes the selected image, caption, username, nickname and avatar public. Likes and comments are community features. Sharing is always a separate action; generation never automatically publishes a photo.
You can revoke share links from the outfit, delete your own posts and comments, and report an Explore post. Deleting a link or post cannot remove copies already downloaded or forwarded by someone else.
How AI uses your photos
AI clothing analysis sends the selected garment photo through OpenRouter to the configured OpenAI provider. AI styling uses your closet descriptions and selected preferences. Personal try-on sends your private source photo and selected clothing photos only after you confirm the consent screen. These services process requests under their own policies. We do not promise zero retention by providers.
Use your own, non-explicit photos. AI results may change facial, clothing and body details; they are style previews, not measurements or a guarantee of fit.
Tokens during the beta
New accounts start with zero tokens. The owner grants tokens to invited testers from Owner’s corner. One token is reserved when a personal try-on starts, kept after successful generation, and refunded if the job fails or is interrupted on the server. Clothing analysis and AI outfit suggestions require a positive token balance but do not spend a token. Daily limits apply. Saving, planning, downloading and sharing are free.
Package prices in the wallet are proposals for later. Checkout and real payments are disabled.
Your account and data
Edit your details, change your password, replace or delete your try-on source photo, or delete your account in Entirely you. Account deletion removes active account data, photos, closet items, looks, planner entries and public posts. Restricted local server backups expire within seven days. Provider processing is separate.
Lookito is hosted on Hetzner in Germany, with Cloudflare in front of the site. A secure session cookie keeps you signed in. Your browser stores an in-progress job identifier to restore a try-on screen. The installable web app caches a generic offline notice, not your private photos or API responses. Google Fonts is used for typography.
A few beta details
The beta uses email and password sign-in. Gmail addresses work as email addresses; Google sign-in, email verification and password-reset emails are not enabled. Keep your password safely stored. Accounts are for users 13 and older; younger teens should use Lookito with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Weather is entered by you when creating a look. Browser stores product links you add and opens an external web search; it is not an automatic exact-item catalogue. App Store and Google Play releases are not published yet. On your phone, use your browser’s Add to Home Screen option for quick access.
Community care
Share fashion ideas respectfully. Only upload content you have permission to use. Do not post explicit content, harassment or someone else’s private information. The owner can review reports and remove posts. This is an early test platform with manual moderation.
